Last week we solved a crime with different powders. Because in the crime there was a strange powder that the police did not know of. The powders that we compared it to was “cocaine”, “aspirin”, baking powder, and another one that I don’t remember. After the testing we discovered that the strange powder acted the same as the “Cocaine”.
We also learned about matter and physical changes such as chopping down a tree. You may not be able to put the tree back together but it is still the same tree, just cut down. A chemical change would have fizzing, color change, or and odor.
You are right that the tree being not chopped down is not a chemical reaction because we didn’t see fizzing, a color change or and odor. What signs of a chemical reaction did we see the powders act like?
